RECREATION PROGRAMS (ages 5 - 18)
Small Ball
The Jr. Small Ball program is an entry-level recreational basketball program for children ages 5 to 7 years old, facilitated in a fun, active, and healthy learning environment. Following the Jr. NBA curriculum, this program focuses on fundamental movement skills of running, jumping, throwing, catching, balance, agility, and coordination. The program includes age-appropriate equipment (smaller basketball and lowered adjustable hoops) and modified games. It also introduces fundamental basketball skills such as dribbling, passing, shooting, rebounding and defending.
The Jr. Small Ball program runs once a week in the spring (April) and Fall (October). The registration fee includes a reversible jersey and basketball.
House League
The House League program is a recreational basketball program for children ages 8 to 18 years old. The focus of this program is to develop individual skills, introduce BMBA team play concepts, and improve the overall fitness of players. Players are exposed to a fun and friendly environment, while also offering players the opportunity to train and excel to a higher level on and off the court. Players who excel in our House League Programs are given the opportunity to participate in our Select Programs. The House League program plays an important role in the development of players wishing to play basketball at a higher level.
The registration fee includes a uniform kit (top and shorts), and teams play (60 minuets) and practice (90 minutes) once a week.
