REP/AAU PROGRAMS
The Rep/AAU program offers opportunities to players ages 8 to 18 years old interested in playing basketball at a higher level across jurisdictions in Ontario. The program focuses on skill and team development. In addition to providing a higher level of competition, the program demands a higher commitment level from players, and by extension parents. Players must demonstrate exceptional skill, athleticism and strong commitment to the game of basketball. All teams will focus on skill development, teamwork and sportsmanship in a competitive environment.
The program adheres to all guidelines established by the provincial and federal governing bodies of amateur basketball, Basketball Ontario, and Canada Basketball. The Rep program typically consists of a minimum two practices weekly and participation in Basketball Ontario and other sponsored tournaments. All participants in the rep program will be required to pay a fee which will be determined prior to tryouts.
Team Selection Process
Interested players must attend the Rep program tryout(s) to have their skills assessed. Tryouts are held twice a year, typically in the spring and late summer/early fall. Coaches will select their final roster following the tryout(s). Follow us on social media or check the website for upcoming tryout dates.
What You Need to Know
- Minimum two (2) weekly practices – 1.5 to 2 hours
- Travel expenses are not included in fees (local and North-American travel)
- Registration fee ranges from $800 to $1500 per season (additional fee for uniform)
